iFixit Enclosures d6efbb69-decb-44eb-98a0-ccfc798e9b29 Editorial Review

The iFixit External SSD Enclosure is a handy tool for individuals looking to upgrade their Mac’s storage without purchasing a new device. While the enclosure is compatible with most factory-installed SSDs of select Mac models, purchasers need to check if their SSD is PCIe before buying the enclosure. The packaging comes with all the necessary tools for installation, making it easy for users to set up. However, customer feedback reveals that it may not work with third-party SSDs, which limits its compatibility with other Mac models.
