Kids & Family Editorial Review
** Shrek The Musical [DVD]** Shrek The Musical on DVD offers a delightful and engaging family viewing experience that successfully brings the beloved story to life with a live-action twist. Customers have expressed sheer joy over the musical, praising its captivating performances, wit, and charm, making it a suitable addition to family movie nights. Many reviewers appreciate the quality of production, noting that the cast displayed impressive talent and brought an abundance of humor and heart to the stage. The musical closely follows the plotline of the original Shrek movie but features additional songs and unique comedic moments that distinguish it as a standalone experience. Fans of the animated film seem particularly thrilled with how well the musical has preserved the essence of the original story while introducing fresh elements. While there are few critiques regarding camera angles during the filming, the overall performance quality shines through and does not detract from the enjoyment of the show. Some customers noted that the adaptation may not be suitable for younger children due to instances of crude language, suggesting it may be better appreciated by audiences aged 13 and older. However, this only seems to enhance its appeal among older viewers who find themselves unexpectedly enamored with the performance. Overall, Shrek The Musical is highly recommended—and especially regarded as a “must-see” for fans of the franchise, providing a humorous and lively spin on a classic tale that leaves audiences entertained and wanting to watch it again. **
