Akai Professional Digital Audio Workstation Controllers APC40 mkII Editorial Review
The AKAI APC40 MKII is a MIDI controller that allows users to control software like Ableton, but it does not have an internal beat sequencer built-in. It comes with a free Ableton Live 9 intro software, and it is compatible with Ableton Live 11. The pads only work to launch clips, and it works perfectly fine with FL Studio 12 and N1 Maschine. It allows live looping and variation but requires a computer to be used while using it live. Overall, customers are satisfied with the performance of the AKAI APC40 MKII, which they consider an affordable compliment to Ableton. One customer had some issues with delivery since it was left on the porch in a naked package. While another customer returned it after realizing that it was not suitable for their level of production.
