HORZE Gel 1" Front Riser English Saddle Pad | Lightweight, Non-Toxic, Anti-Slip

The Horze Gel Front Riser Pad has garnered a largely positive reception among equestrians, with many customers praising its effectiveness in providing lift and improving comfort for both horse and rider. Users have reported that the pad fits well behind the shoulder area, which is crucial for horses with high withers, preventing saddle pinching and minimizing discomfort during rides. Owners of both Quarter Horses and Thoroughbreds have noticed a marked improvement in their horses' demeanor under saddle, commenting on increased comfort and relaxation. Despite some initial concerns about the pad's texture, most users found that once adjusted during use, it became less sticky and more usable. The versatility of the pad in accommodating various saddle types—especially for horses with hollow spots behind their shoulders—has been highlighted extensively. Additionally, the riser has been credited with diminishing issues such as bucking during sharp turns, making it a recommended choice for performance riding. However, there are criticisms regarding the feel and maintenance of the pad. A few reviewers expected a firmer gel material but were surprised to find it made from a stretchy, clingy substance. This raised concerns about the pad's potential to damage a horse’s coat or saddle if not used with caution. Cleaning can also be an issue, with some mentioning the difficulty of maintaining its cleanliness. In summary, the Horze Gel Front Riser Pad stands out for its performance in saddle fit enhancement and horse comfort, but potential buyers should be wary of its material properties and maintenance requirements. **
