These socks provide instant heat to your feet which is quite helpful when you are in cold places such as when hunting. However, these socks do not come with rechargeable batteries. The socks are not machine washable, and the battery pack is operated by using AA batteries. From the customers' reviews, it appears that the product has mixed results, with some finding the socks useful, while others complaining that they never worked effectively. Some found it disappointing that the socks were not made entirely of wool. A reviewer also complained about the wires being uncomfortable along the toe line.
